The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system

Chapter 26 26: Game world & real world rules

She had the advantage, of this Alix was sure and in a moment of spontaneity, she took a dive off the back of the ostrich.

Her aim to fall directly in the pillar of golden light, and snatch whatever it was that was rotating in its midst.

What she didn't count on was the arrow, shot by the elf so precisely piercing her abdomen just as she grabbed the mysterious box.

"Health deteriorating, please take a healing portion immediately." She heard the system say.

In the real world however, Alix felt something else entirely, a sharp sudden pain in her abdomen which caused her to gasp, whimper like an injured animal and suddenly bend over, clutching her stomach.

Her whimpering drew the attention of the bodyguard who turned around with quickness.

"Young madam." He gasped.

Uncle Ju heard the anxiety in the bodyguards voice and he stepped on the brake of the car suddenly.

He too turned around and stared at Alix with anxiety and concern in his eyes.

"Young madam, what happened?" He asked.

"Drive us to the hospital, I will call the young master." The bodyguard ordered Uncle Ju.

Alix could hear them talking, asking about her condition out of concern, momentarily she could not respond because she was gouging down a healing portion in the gaming world.

"I am okay." She told them in an agonised voice. "It's just stomach cramps."

They were almost at the building, she had music lessons to teach. Being dragged to the hospital for an unexplained injury was not on her itinerary for the day.

The system was surely going to provide her with answers.

"But Young madam, you look like you are in a lot pain. Maybe getting a doctor to look at you is a good idea." Uncle Ju insisted.

"I am fine, just drive to the school, I have medicine in my bag." She lied.

Reluctantly, after giving her one more worried look, Uncle Ju did as she said, driving her to the music school as she insisted.

As soon as she alighted from the car, she went into a bathroom, lifted her shirt and took a closer look at her abdomen.

On her stomach, right below the navel was a red bruise. It was right in the spot where the elf's arrow had penetrated her.

She would be caught up in wonder if she was not freaking out in her mind.

"What is this?" She asked herself. "Hey, blue smurf, come out and explain."

She accessed her virtual screen quickly and talked to the Blue elf. On one side of the panel were highlights from the gaming world.

Being rerun over and over was the moment of her death, and yet simultaneously her victory.

"Congratulations on your great victory." The elf dancing and throwing himself a party zoomed from one end of the screen to another.

He seemed to have grown a bit in height but he was still blue, like a smurf.

"Explain this." She told the system. "I signed up to play a game not my death warrant."

"You did not read the fine print in the rules and regulations when you accepted the system. Don't blame yourself, nobody is meant to read it."

It was nervously tapping it's index fingers together nervously.

"You see, the punishment for dying in the game world is that the pain of your death is emulated in the real world. But don't worry, you cannot die for real, it's just a little pain."

"Little!!" She exclaimed. She had felt as if she was truly dying, her heart beat had accelerated and she even sweated but he was saying little pain so shamelessly!!

The elf vanished from the screen quickly, running to hide itself from her ire.

"Hey, blue smurf, come out and experience the small pain with me. Why are you hiding, come out." She yelled.

"I am a blue elf not blue smurf." She heard in response.

The voice came from the virtual screen but that cowardly blue elf continued to hide. She found it to be ridiculous because it was not as if she could physically touch it.

Suddenly it appeared again on the virtual, with a silly laugh on it's face.

"Right, you can't touch me." It said with arrogance.

Alix ignored the obvious taunt in it's voice and noticed that the bruise was already fading. She lowered her shirt, and washed her hands.

"What did I get anyway and why are you showing reruns of my death? She asked.

The icons on the virtual screen moved around, showing her a section which was labeled viewer count.

"The infinite luck gaming system is an entertainment system. Every game in the infinite virtual universe has viewers, supporters, and controllers.

You are entertaining viewers from different worlds, high tech civilizations and magical worlds that are connected to the infinite virtual universe.

Don't let this deter or excite you host, just keep playing the game. As long as you play a good game, you will receive gifts or help from adoring fans.

You might even get a chance to leave your low tech world for a higher one."

She looked closer at the view count, only sixty three people had watched her. She had no fans or supporters.

She moved icons around a bit, the green haired elf which killed her had one thousand five hundred views already.

He had even received gifts for killing her.

Suddenly, a new hatred formed in her heart for that elf. This death would definitely be repaid.

She had even won the ultimate gift of that level but no gift from a fan was received on her end. These were some stingy ass viewers.

"Hey, blue smurf, are all the game players humans?" She was curious about that.

"Only two human game players are playing but you are from different worlds. You are the only one from your earth.

Per the rules of the gaming world, each world can only have one player from the start to the finish of the game.

A new player can only be added if an old one dies in their real world. Game players are forbidden from talking about their real worlds.

The penalty for breaking that rule is immediate expulsion from the gaming world and all memories from it erased." The system responded.

"Does every player have a system?" This was another thing which made her curious.

"No, you are the only player with a system. Your world is actually too low level to qualify to play in the games and I am connecting you illegally, sort of.

You can call our meeting a happy accident. In other words, I a high tech system from another world was given the wrong coordinates and ended up here.

I can only contact my mother world through the virtual world and I can only stay connected to it through a player. Someday, I will be extracted and return to my world."

With most of the basic facts down Alix took a long, slow breath in and exhaled loudly.

"Congratulations, you received one lucky ogre fist sized red diamond from your victory.

Also, a reward from the system, two music sheets and a lucky bone breaking fist scroll. Stay strong and continue working hard."

And just like that, Alix's face lit up like a fire.
